Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Project Venus is operated by Tanya ("Project Venus", "we", "us"). For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@venuscompanion.com.

2. Adults only

Venus is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We ask visitors and account holders to confirm adult status. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, adult features are disabled and the account may be restricted or removed. Do not send us identification documents unless we specifically introduce a secure age-assurance process and ask for them.

3. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, and account status.
• Profile choices: your display name, companion name and age, personality selection, pet name, boundaries, and relationship preferences.
• Conversation data: messages, AI responses, conversation summaries, and any information you choose to include in chat when history is enabled.
• Optional memory and improvement data: saved memories and feedback only according to the controls you select. Training consent is separate from personal memory.
• Safety and consent records: adult confirmation, AI disclosure acknowledgement, legal-policy version, mature-content settings, and safety restrictions.
• Technical data: security, connection, error, rate-limit, and basic service logs generated when you use the site or API.

We do not currently sell personal data or run third-party advertising trackers on the Venus website.

4. Why we use information

• To create and secure your account and provide conversations you request.
• To remember preferences when you enable memory and to apply your boundaries and chosen personality.
• To process feedback or training examples only when the relevant consent is enabled.
• To detect abuse, enforce the adults-only rule, prevent unlawful use, and keep the service reliable.
• To meet legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

Depending on where you live, our legal bases may include performing the service you request, your consent for optional features, legitimate interests in security and service operation, and compliance with law. You may withdraw optional consent in the app without losing basic account access.

5. Sensitive conversations

Messages may reveal intimate, sexual, relationship, health, or other sensitive information. Share only what you are comfortable processing through an online AI service. Memory and training are off by default for public accounts and require separate choices. Do not use Venus to store passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or another person's confidential information.

6. Service providers and international processing

We use infrastructure providers to operate Venus, including Supabase for authentication and database services, RunPod for private model inference infrastructure, and website-hosting and email-delivery providers. These providers process data only to deliver their services to Project Venus. Data may be processed in countries outside your own; where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

7. Retention and deletion

Account and service data is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide Venus. You can disable conversation history, delete memories, and delete all Venus application data from the app. Deletion removes the application records associated with your account; limited security logs, backups, or records required by law may remain temporarily. Authentication-account deletion may require a request to us while Venus is in beta.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Email privacy@venuscompanion.com from your account email so we can verify the request.

9. Security

We use account authentication, access controls, encrypted network connections, tenant-separated records, and restricted administrative access. No online service is perfectly secure, so use a unique password and report suspected account access promptly.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as Venus changes. Material updates will be presented in the app and may require fresh acceptance before chat access continues.
