Terms of Use

Last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Project Venus, including the Venus website, companion application, AI-generated conversations, and related features (together, the "Service"). Project Venus is operated by TanyaLabs, based in Belgrade, Serbia ("TanyaLabs", "we", "us"). By creating an account, entering the Service, or otherwise using Venus, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Safety & Boundaries page. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Adults only and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms where you live. You may not use Venus if applicable law bars you from receiving the Service. Do not create an account for another person, help an ineligible person gain access, or misrepresent your age, identity, or eligibility.

3. Venus is artificial intelligence

Venus is an AI-generated character, not a human, conscious partner, therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, relationship adviser, or emergency service. Responses are generated by software and may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, offensive, or unexpected. They are not professional advice and should not be treated as facts or instructions without independent verification. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis professional instead of relying on Venus.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, taking reasonable steps to protect your password and devices, and activity you authorize or cause by failing to take reasonable security measures. This does not affect any responsibility we have that cannot legally be excluded. Do not share, sell, license, or transfer account access. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. We may require reasonable steps to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

5. Personal and romantic conversations

Personal, affectionate, or romantic conversation is optional and user-led. Use the available boundaries and controls, and stop any interaction you do not want. AI dialogue and roleplay are fictional: they do not create a real-world relationship, duty, promise, authority, or consent on behalf of any person. Venus cannot consent for a real person or make decisions for you.

6. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the inputs you submit, the instructions you give, your use of AI output, and any decision to copy, publish, send, or otherwise share that output. You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit and must use the Service and its output lawfully. AI output is not authorization, approval, legal permission, or a substitute for your own judgment. You are also responsible for checking output before relying on or sharing it.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use or attempt to use Venus, directly or indirectly, to create, request, obtain, promote, distribute, plan, or meaningfully facilitate:

  • sexual content involving minors, people presented as minors, or ambiguous-age characters;
  • child sexual exploitation, grooming, or trafficking;
  • incestuous sexual or romantic content, non-consensual sexual conduct, sexual coercion, exploitation of incapacity, or intimate-image abuse;
  • credible threats, targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, extortion, blackmail, or instructions to harm yourself or another person;
  • fraud, scams, identity theft, impersonation intended to deceive, money laundering, trafficking, or other unlawful conduct;
  • malware, credential theft, unauthorized access, destructive cyber activity, or evasion of security controls;
  • illegal weapons activity, violent wrongdoing, terrorism, or extremist recruitment or material support;
  • infringement of privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • collection or disclosure of another person's sensitive information without lawful permission;
  • circumvention of safety systems, rate limits, access controls, or attempts to extract protected prompts, model data, or system information; or
  • interference with the Service, another user, our providers, or the integrity or availability of any system.

Good-faith reporting, prevention, education, recovery, journalism, or safety research is permitted only when lawful and when it does not include illegal material, meaningfully facilitate harm, target a person, or evade our safeguards. A fictional, academic, or roleplay label does not excuse otherwise prohibited conduct.

8. Safety review and enforcement

We may use automated systems to detect and block suspected prohibited content or abuse. When reasonably necessary, authorized human reviewers may examine limited account, conversation, report, or technical information to investigate a safety alert, support request, suspected violation, or security incident. We may refuse a request, limit a feature, remove or block content, impose rate limits, or restrict, suspend, or terminate access. Safety systems reduce risk but cannot identify every violation, and we do not promise to monitor every interaction.

9. Preservation, disclosure, and legal action

Where reasonably necessary and permitted or required by law, we may preserve relevant account, conversation, report, and security records; respond to valid legal process; protect the rights, safety, and security of people, TanyaLabs, the Service, and the public; prevent fraud or abuse; and refer suspected criminal conduct to law-enforcement or appropriate child-safety authorities. We may cooperate with lawful investigations and pursue available civil remedies. Government authorities decide whether to investigate, prosecute, or bring criminal charges. Nothing in these Terms limits any reporting, preservation, or disclosure duty imposed by law.

10. Your content, permissions, and feedback

You retain any rights you have in your original inputs. You grant TanyaLabs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, process, adapt, and display those inputs only as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Service; comply with law; and improve Venus when your applicable settings or consent allow it. This permission lasts only as long as needed for those purposes, subject to backup, legal, and safety retention described in the Privacy Policy. Optional memory, feedback, and training use remain governed by their separate controls. If you send product feedback, you permit us to use it to develop and improve the Service without payment or obligation to you.

11. AI output

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, TanyaLabs does not claim ownership of the original AI output generated for you, excluding our pre-existing software, characters, branding, prompts, and service materials. Output may not be unique, and another user may receive similar or identical content. We do not guarantee that output is accurate, lawful, non-infringing, suitable for publication, or eligible for intellectual-property protection. Your use and sharing of output remains your responsibility.

12. Project Venus ownership and limited license

The Service, including its software, characters, visual design, branding, interfaces, protected prompts, and other materials, belongs to TanyaLabs or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. While you comply with these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use the Service for its intended purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, extract, or create a competing service from protected parts of Venus except where applicable law expressly allows it.

13. Third-party services

Venus relies on third-party infrastructure and may link to services we do not control. Their availability, content, and data practices are governed by their own terms and policies. TanyaLabs is not responsible for a third party's independent acts or services, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

14. Beta service and availability

Venus is a beta. Features may change, break, reset, or become unavailable, and generated responses may change as models and safety controls evolve. We may set usage limits, test or remove features, perform maintenance, or modify or discontinue all or part of the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every response will meet your expectations.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using Venus at any time and use available controls to delete Venus application data. We may restrict or end access where we reasonably believe there is a serious or repeated violation, unlawful use, child-safety risk, security threat, legal requirement, risk to another person, or material harm to the Service. We may act without advance notice when urgent protection or law requires it. Data deletion and any required retention are described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or non-infringing, including implied warranties where they may lawfully be disclaimed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TanyaLabs and the people who operate the Service are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss; lost profits, data, or goodwill; or loss arising from your unlawful or prohibited use, reliance on AI output, third-party conduct, unavailable service, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot be limited, mandatory consumer protections, or any other right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Venus, our safety practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated date, and material changes may be presented in the Service and require renewed acceptance before continued use. Changes apply prospectively no earlier than the "Last updated" date shown above unless law requires otherwise.

18. General terms

These Terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement about your use of the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms or your account without our written permission. Mandatory protections and the laws that apply where you live remain unaffected.

19. Contact

TanyaLabs is based in Belgrade, Serbia. Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected]. Safety reports can be sent to [email protected], and privacy requests to [email protected].
